Shaw Almex announced today that it will opening its 18th location in Belo Horizonte Brazil. Shaw Almex do Brazil will be an integrated facility with manufacturing, distribution and a service location. Operators of conveyor systems in Brazil have reached out to Almex seeking professional services such as quality assurance, conveyor systems engineering and conveyor belt installation services.
The facility, to be opened in August, will be fully staffed and stocked by the end of 2021 and will significantly reduce delivery times and also be a regional service center for the repair and refurbishment of equipment, CEO Timothy Shaw stated “We have worked with SAMPLA Brazil for 35 years in the most successful partnership in Almex history. However, there are many products and services that Almex offers globally that have not been available to our Brazilian customers”. Almex and SAMPLA have committed to a smooth transition and will continue to cooperate to ensure the highest level of service for the customers going forward.
The warehouse will have a cold room for stocking and shipping Fusion consumables including splice kits, adhesives, pulley lagging and repair materials. Splice kits up to ST 7000 will be available and some with same day expedited service.
The opening of this facility follows ALMEX’s launch of the EMSYS technology the most advanced conveyor monitoring system and will give field engineers and installation teams a base of operations and a training center to provide world class training.
ALMEX has established a supply and distribution agreement with Mercurio one of the leading conveyor belt manufacturers in South America for the EMSYS technology.
Almex Global Services teams have done work in some of the most challenging places in the world such as Algeria, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, and Panama. Almex has developed best practices that allows teams to perform belt changes and installations in record times and at all times with the utmost safety.
